Sylhet Agricultural University Photographic Society (SAUPS)
Sylhet Agricultural University Photographic Society (SAUPS) is one of the well-known organizations in the photographic world of Bangladesh. The organization was formed in 2016 by the efforts of a group of photo-loving young students. This organization has been organizing inter-university photo competitions and national-level photo exhibitions & competitions almost every year. Also, the organization has been conducting various activities, including photo chats, photo walks, and workshops. Newcomers to the university are joining this organization and increasing their photographic knowledge and skills as well as gaining organizing ability.
Achievement & Contribution
In 2017, Md. Mosharof Hosen joined the Sylhet Agricultural University Photography Society as a general member and started his journey. Later, he participated in all kinds of activities and increased his photographic skills as well as his organizing skills. As a result, in 2019, he was appointed as the general secretary of the organization. After receiving the responsibility, he managed the regular activities of the organization. During his time, he successfully arranged the inter-university photography exhibition and the 3rd national photography exhibition & competition, then handed over the responsibility. Later he served as an advisor to the organization for a few years.
Activities
All the activities carried out by Md. Mosharof Hosen while performing the duties of the organization are briefly described below.
Membership Campaign
Membership campaigns are conducted to attract new interested students to the organization. Students interested in photography joined the organization.
Photo walk & Photo Adda
Photo walks are held to take photos with members of the organization, and photo adda are organized every week. Self-taken photos are discussed, and guidance is provided.
Workshop
The workshop is organized with the aim of improving skills in photography. The workshop is conducted by invited skilled photographers along with the senior members of the organization.
Intra University Photo Exhibition
An inter-university photography competition is organized every year to make students of the university interested in photography. Many students, teachers, officials, and employees of the university participated in this, which made the photography exhibition more festive.
National Photography Exhibition and Competition
Sylhet Agricultural University Photography Society (SAUPS) organizes a large national-level photography exhibition and competition almost every year. In the absence of the president, the 3rd national photography exhibition & competition-2019 was organized by Md. Mosharof Hosen. Teachers and students of different universities and different photographers from all over the country participated in the competition by sending their best photos. More than 4000 photos were submitted and 100 photos were selected by renowned photographers of the country, which were later exhibited. The program was inaugurated by the VC of Sylhet Agricultural University. He also unveiled the cover of the magazine published by the organization. Apart from the people of Sylhet, photographers from different parts of the country came to the exhibition. More than 10,000 people came to visit the exhibition for two days.
Prize Giving Ceremony
On the last day, the VC of Sylhet Agricultural University gave the prizes to the winners. The program ended by giving the prize money of around 40 thousand BDT to the winners. Various sponsors and Sylhet Agricultural University authorities cooperated to make the event a success.

Sylhet Agricultural University Art Club is a renowned cultural institution within Sylhet Agricultural University, established in 2017 by a group of passionate and energetic artists. The club plays an indispensable role in enriching university programs through artistic creativity. Every year, it organizes art exhibitions and competitions at both inter-university and national levels, providing a vibrant platform for emerging talent. New members join the club not only to enhance their artistic skills but also to develop leadership and event management abilities, making it a dynamic hub for creativity and personal growth.
Achievement & Contribution
Md. Mosharof Hosen started his journey with the organization as a proud founding member. From the love of art since childhood, he has gained some skills in calligraphy. Later, he got the opportunity to practice this creativity by joining this art club in his university life. The record of making the largest handmade canvas in Bangladesh and this organization as an artist, he also directly guided the creation of the canvas. Besides, he was always involved in the organizational activities of the organization.

Possessing a strong foundation in visual arts, including drawing, painting, and calligraphy, I excel at creating both traditional and contemporary art pieces. My crafting abilities encompass designing handmade items, working with various materials, and producing unique, creative projects that blend aesthetics with functionality. These skills enable me to bring artistic visions to life, whether through detailed artwork or innovative crafts, reflecting creativity, precision, and attention to detail.
Calligraphy Skills
Skilled in Arabic, English, and Bangla calligraphy, I create elegant and artistic lettering that honors the unique beauty of each script. Combining traditional techniques with a modern aesthetic, I produce visually captivating designs suitable for artistic projects, invitations, branding, and cultural works. My proficiency in multiple languages allows me to craft diverse calligraphic pieces that reflect both cultural heritage and contemporary creativity.
Graphic Design
Experienced in creating visually compelling designs using industry-standard software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. I specialize in developing logos, branding materials, posters, and digital illustrations that effectively communicate messages and enhance visual appeal. With a strong sense of color theory, typography, and composition, I bring creative concepts to life while ensuring clarity and impact across various media platforms.
PRADHIKAR (প্রাধিকার)
PRADHIKAR (প্রাধিকার)is a volunteer-based, non-political organization founded by students of Sylhet Agricultural University, dedicated to promoting animal welfare and biodiversity conservation in the Sylhet region of Bangladesh. The organization focuses on raising awareness about animal rights, encouraging ethical treatment of animals, and fostering sustainable environmental practices through community outreach and educational programs.
Contribution
Md. Mosharof Hosen began his journey with PRADHIKAR as an enthusiastic student and served as theOrganizing Secretary, where he played a key role in planning events, mobilizing volunteers, and structuring grassroots activities. Md. Hosen was responsible for planning and executing the organization’s core activities, including animal welfare awareness events, tree plantation drives, environmental clean-up efforts, and educational seminars.
Beyond logistics, Md. Hosen also contributed to idea development, event branding, and public engagement, helping the organization connect more effectively with students, faculty, and the broader public. His contributions helped lay a solid foundation for future organizational growth and inspired many juniors to take up leadership roles.
Save The Frogs Program:
Save The Frogs Day is the world’s largest day of amphibian education and action, dedicated to raising awareness about the threats faced by frogs and other amphibians. Since 2012, Pradhikar has proudly observed this international event as part of its broader mission to promote biodiversity, animal rights, and environmental responsibility. As Joint Secretary of Pradhikar, Md Mosharof Hosen played an instrumental role in the success and expansion of Save The Frogs Day at Sylhet Agricultural University. His contributions include: Coordinating event planning and logistics, ensuring the smooth execution of awareness rallies, exhibitions, and lectures. Delivering educational sessions and motivational talks to raise interest in frog research and ethical treatment of wildlife and promoting scientific discussion through poster reviews, presentation mentoring, and research encouragement.
4th International Exhibition of Dairy, Aqua, and Pet (IEDAP):
Md Mosharof Hosen actively represented Pradhikar, the student-led animal welfare and conservation organization of Sylhet Agricultural University, at the 4th International Exhibition of Dairy, Aqua, and Pet (IEDAP) held from March 8–10, 2018, at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in Dhaka. The event, organized by the Animal Health Companies Association of Bangladesh (AHCAB)and supported by the Ministry of Fisheries & Livestock and the Ministry of Commerce, served as a significant international platform to promote animal protein sectors and pet care industries. As a delegate of Pradhikar, Md. Hosen operated from a stall allocated by AHCAB to the organization in recognition of its contributions to animal welfare. During the exhibition, he communicated with local and international visitors, introduced them to Pradhikar’s mission and activities, and distributed informative leaflets to raise awareness about animal rights and biodiversity conservation. His active engagement not only strengthened the visibility of Pradhikar but also fostered valuable connections across various sectors involved in animal health, care, and welfare.
Achievement
Md. Mosharof Hosen has had a distinguished journey within PRADHIKAR beginning his service as Organizing Secretary, where he was responsible for event planning and volunteer mobilization. He was later appointed Office Secretary, overseeing internal coordination and documentation. Owing to his dedication and leadership, he was eventually promoted to Joint Secretary, a role in which he coordinated major campaigns, managed inter-organizational collaboration, and contributed significantly to the organization’s growth and impact.
Upon the completion of his active term, Md. Hosen’s contributions were formally recognized by PRADHIKAR’s Advisory Panel, who honored him with a crest and a volunteering certificate. This gesture acknowledged his exceptional commitment, leadership, and lasting impact on the organization. His journey stands as a model of purposeful service and dedication to animal welfare.
